Redlands Parks are Getting a Makeover
10 parks across the Redlands have recently been completely upgraded, including:
Macfarlan Street Park, Birkdale
Pinelands Circuit Park, Redland Bay
Lorikeet Drive Park, Thornlands
Jacob Street Nature Belt, Wellington Point
Babiana Street Park, Alexandra Hills
Fuschia, Carinyan & Lobelia Street Parks, Birkdale
Crotona Road West Park, Capalaba
Vassi Concord Park, Cleveland
Cliftonville Place Park, Redland Bay
Bill Scudamore Smith Park, Victoria Point
And two more (Charlie Buckler Memorial Sporting Fields and Point Talburpin Park) are coming soon!
This is all part of a $13 million initiative to make our parks even better. So head on out to any these parks and enjoy!
Redlands Mayor Calls for Urgent Infrastructure Funding
Mayor Jos Mitchell has joined other south-east Queensland mayors in calling on the state and federal governments for more infrastructure funding to address rapid population growth and the housing crisis.
She emphasized the vital role councils play in providing services and infrastructure, but stressed the need for greater support to meet the growing demands of their communities.

Vassi Concord Park in Cleveland has recently been upgraded and it now boasts a fantastic play area with double swings, slides, a flying fox, and more. Now you can relax under the shade trees, enjoy a picnic, or let your kids run wild.
To top it all off, there's a new water tap with a dog bowl for thirsty pups! Up for some serious playtime? Get down to the Vassi Concord Park and have fun.
