Beloved Redland Bay Fig Tree to Be Removed
One of the big, iconic fig trees in the park at Collins Street and School of Arts Road was found with a serious fungal disease that is causing its roots to rot. Unfortunately, to keep everyone safe, the tree has been removed. The tree held a lot of memories for many of local residents, and it's a really sad loss for our community.

Fire Danger in Bins
Recently, there has been two "hot loads" at Capalaba Regional Park where burning materials, including batteries, had to be dumped from waste and recycling trucks. Incorrect disposal of flammable items like batteries, vapes, or hot ash in your bins at home puts everyone at risk! Learn how to get rid of hazardous waste properly here and do your part to keep Redlands Coast safe.
