Island Healthcare Upgrade
Great news for Southern Moreton Bay Islands!
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) has invested $1.77 million into a new Medicat Ambulance vessel to improve patient transportation between the islands and the mainland.
With the capacity to carry three patients on stretchers and accommodates up to 16 people, including ambulance officers, Medicat is the pinnacle of water-borne patient care. It's custom-built by SeaLink and is a local triumph, set to improve and elevate the top-notch pre-hospital care provided by the QAS to those in need.

Minigolf Adventure at Alex Hills Hotel: A Fresh Experience
We finally got around to trying out the new Minigolf course at Alex Hills Hotel.
The overall development of that place is huge! It’s come a long way since we were there bustin’ some horrible moves on the sticky floor of the pit.
We turned up on Friday at around 11am play which was great for having the course to ourselves. They have 12 holes and 4 different holes on each course, they cater for kids and also have easy, medium, and hard holes you can use. Honestly, just go for the hard ones the difference is not significant.
They've done a great job with the course, don’t expect crazy windmills or contraptions to steal your ball, but you’ll definitely get a challenge with tight angles and steep declines. It also definitely feels like a late afternoon/evening experience would be great in summer, with minimal shade you’ll need to be covered up or have plenty of liquid refreshments to keep you going.
$19 for a single person to do a round of the course, you can get a family pass cheaper for 4 of you. The $30 we spent on two drinks did hurt, however the changes and family environment they have created is great.
