Redlands City Council Holds $3.5M Surplus Despite Storm Clean-Up Redlands is in the black! The Council reports a $3.54 million surplus for the first half of 2025-26, thanks to strong permit fees, planning applications, and lower water costs. Extra spending on storm repairs and tree work hasn’t slowed the city’s finances.

Keep an Eye Out for Fire Ants Check your yard, and if you spot nests, call 132 ANT or report it online here. Early action helps to stop infestations and keeps Redlands’ parks, streets, and backyards safe and enjoyable.

Koala Numbers Stop Falling in Redlands Redlands just hit a hopeful milestone, with new research showing the local koala population has stabilised after years of decline. University studies found numbers holding steady since 2018, with more koalas surviving care and being released. They’re still vulnerable, but this is a rare bit of good news worth celebrating.
