Cheers to Redlands’ Business Stars Redlands Coast is celebrating the incredible winners and finalists of the 2025 Business Excellence Awards! Local businesses keep the city buzzing with energy and opportunity, driving billions in growth. Huge thanks to the Redlands Coast Chamber of Commerce for another amazing night showcasing local talent and community pride.
Help Shape Redlands Coast’s Future Redlands Coast residents can now share their thoughts on the city’s next five-year plan. The draft Our Future Redland City: Corporate Plan 2026–2031 is open for feedback until 2 November. It’s a chance for locals to help guide priorities and shape the community’s future together.
Redland Bay’s Getting a Brand-New Boating Spot! A brand-new $5.9 million boating facility is coming to Wallaby Road, Redland Bay! Construction starts November 2025, bringing better access for local boaties and paddlers to explore Southern Moreton Bay. Expect fresh ramps, parking, and easy water access once it’s complete by mid-2026. Exciting times ahead!

Russell Island One Step Closer to Getting New Public Toilets Russell Island locals might finally see a new public toilet near the IGA. Council has backed a plan to explore options and costs, after ongoing issues with limited and overflowing facilities. A detailed report is expected in January 2026, bringing residents closer to a long-overdue solution.
Bushfire Season’s Near—Time to Get Ready The council is reminding Redlands Coast residents to prepare early for bushfire season. Simple steps like clearing gutters, trimming branches, and checking fire bans can make all the difference. Bushfires can strike anywhere, anytime—so it’s best to be ready before they do. Visit fire.qld.gov.au to learn more.
Bulldogs Score a 3-Star Win The Capalaba Bulldogs have officially been awarded 3-Star Club Changer status by Football Australia — becoming only the second club in Queensland to achieve this top honour. This recognition celebrates the Bulldogs’ excellence in member protection, inclusion, governance, and female football development, proving they’re not just strong on the field but leaders in creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring community club.
