Local Legend Jessica Fox Makes Olympic History Again!
We're bursting with pride for our very own Jessica Fox! She has just won her second gold medal at the Paris Olympics and has now made history as the only Australian to win an individual medal in the same event at four consecutive Olympic Games! She's also officially the most decorated athlete in Australian Olympic Canoe-Slalom history!
We're so lucky to have Jessica as a friend of the Redlands Coast. Let's keep cheering her on!

Did You Join the Green and Gold Fun?
Redland City Council showed its support for our Aussie Olympians by decking out their customer service centres in green and gold. Did you get a chance to join in the fun and snap a pic at one of their iconic landmarks?
If you missed out, don’t worry! There’s still time to show your support. Grab your phone, head to a local landmark like the Cleveland Lighthouse or Wellington Point Village Green Clock Tower, and strike a pose in your green and gold gear. Let's keep the Aussie spirit alive!

Heads Up - Gas Bottles Don't Belong in Bins!
Our waste truck drivers are asking for a favor - please don't put gas bottles in your kerbside bins! It's a major safety hazard because gas bottles can explode when crushed in the truck or at the recycling facility, putting drivers and everyone else at risk.
Instead, take your used gas bottles back to the store where you bought them or drop them off for free at a Council Recycling and Waste Centre. Let's all help keep the folks at the waste facilities and our neighbors safe.
