Big Changes Ahead: Cleveland-Redland Bay Road Upgrade Update

Heads up, Victoria Point, the Cleveland-Redland Bay Road upgrade is moving forward, even though the summer storms have slowed things a bit. Here are some exciting progress coming this February:

  • Northbound traffic will soon shift onto the new roadway between Benfer Road and Magnolia Parade,

  • Landscaping, medians, and driveways are on the way.

Redlands Hosts National Softball Championships, Eyes 2032 Olympics

The Redlands Softball Association successfully hosted the Australian Under 23 Men's National Championships at Ormiston and it was attended by dignitaries including the President of the World Baseball Softball Confederation, Riccardo Fraccari. The event showcased local talent and sparked discussions about the progress of local, state, and national softball clubs and potential Olympic opportunities for the region.

Clean Up Australia Day is Almost Here

Redland City Council is encouraging everyone to get involved in Clean Up Australia Day 2025 and help keep Redland beautiful. Mayor Jos Mitchell has announced that the Council will once again be supporting local organisations by providing skip bins or kerbside wheelie bins for registered clean-up events.

To get involved, visit cleanupaustraliaday.org.au to register or find an event. Let's work together to keep Redland clean and healthy!

Mater Mothers is looking for volunteers to sew ‘Cuddle Hearts’ for their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. These special fabric hearts help moms and babies stay connected—even when they can’t be together. One heart picks up mom’s scent, the other baby’s, and then they’re swapped to keep that bond strong.
