Exciting news for Wellington Point residents

Parts of the walkway from The Esplanade have been reopened last week. Now, you can enjoy a looped walking track that leads to the lookout over the Ramsar wetland. This is all part of the Wellington Point landslip remediation project by Redland City Council in response to severe weather in 2022.

"How do you make friends in your 40s?"

"We have recently moved to Wellington Point, from another state. I have a work from home job, so don't meet people in person, except when I frequent the local amazing cafes and order my daily coffee from the lovely staff.

My husband is in a career where he is in management and can't really make friends at work, as he has to maintain a professional distance.

Lately, I'm feeling lonely and isolated and I have no friends or family in QLD. I don't really have any hobbies that I can meet people through, aren't religious so can't join a church, not really into fitness although I'm keen on joining a gym for gentle exercise.

I'm looking for a like-minded new friend, who is quirky and fun and possibly has a partner who might want a new couple friend duo (not in a creepy way!). My best friend is my husband, so I'd love to find friends in another couple who are best friends too and are keen to expand their circle. Doesn’t matter what your sexuality is- I just want to be around funny and nice people.

Does anyone have any advice?" - Anonymous
