Redland Bay Just Got a Whole Lot Greener Over 35,000 rescued mangroves have now been planted at Stockland Shoreline, turning damaged land into a buzzing wetland. In a first for Australia, the project’s already thriving—cleaning water, storing carbon, and creating new homes for wildlife. It’s a big win for nature, right in Redland Bay.

Heritage Building Demolition Called In for Full Council Vote Cr Mitchell has “called in” the controversial plan to demolish two heritage-listed Shore St buildings, pushing it to a full Council vote. Locals are fired up, the developer says they’re beyond saving, and now all eyes are on Council to decide what happens next at the upcoming Council meeting.

Shoring Up Our Shores Council is adding revetment rock along the Bass Street foreshore to help fight erosion. The big rocks break up wave energy and protect the coast from wearing away. It’s part of a bigger plan to keep erosion-prone areas safe and strong across the Redlands Coast.

The New RPAC Entrance Is Almost Ready The forecourt makeover at RPAC is nearly done—and it's looking amazing. Concrete’s set, gardens planted, tiling finished, and they’re adding the final touches now. Even after a few weather hiccups, RPAC is still on track to open the new space by late August. They can’t wait to welcome everyone through the doors.

Redland Hospital Just Made Specialist Support Closer to Home People who’ve experienced sexual assault can now get specialist, trauma-informed care locally—no need to travel. The new space on Amity Ward offers privacy, support, and 24/7 access to social workers and emergency physicians. It’s a big step forward in helping people feel safe and supported.

More Parking Coming Soon Capalaba Sports Club just scored approval for a brand-new two-level carpark—yep, 130 more spaces on the way! Construction kicks off next week with minimal disruption, and everything’s still full access as usual. They’re aiming to wrap up by early 2026, and they’ll keep everyone posted.
