If you have spare/used flat sheets, blankets, towels, doona covers, or dog beds, weβd love to give them a second life here at the shelter! (Just no pillows or feathered doonas please!)

Community Turns Out for ANZAC Day β Despite early morning rain on Saturday, April 25, hundreds gathered at the Redlands RSL Dawn Service to honour those who served. The 5:20am ceremony began in darkness at Passage Street, with the Last Post and Reveille echoing through the morning air. The parade through Cleveland saw strong crowd numbers, with families lining the streets from the RSL to the cenotaph. Read More β
Peel Island Marathon Sails into History β The 55th annual Cleveland Yacht Club regatta around Peel Island on Sunday saw perfect conditions with steady 15-knot winds making for a competitive race. Over 40 boats participated across multiple classes, with local sailors taking honours in several divisions.
Youth Week Brings Free Activities to Redlands β Queensland Youth Week kicked off with a fantastic program of free activities across the Redlands. The week featured free archery sessions, an obstacle course challenge, creative workshops and a youth festival at Sylvan Park. Funded by Redland City Council, the program runs through early May with events at multiple venues including the Cleveland Library, Capalaba Creative Arts Centre and Victoria Point Skate Park. AdventureFest Returns in May β The popular Redlands Coast AdventureFest is back from May 15-24, bringing 10 consecutive days of adventure sports, live music, food trucks and family fun to Sylvan Park in Redlands. This year's event features the Straddie Salute Triathlon from May 15-17, mountain biking challenges, trail running events and heaps of free activities for kids. Last year's event drew over 20,000 visitors, and even bigger numbers are expected this year. Start training now and get involved! Read More β
Local Sprinter Claims National Title β Congratulations to Sheldon College alumna Georgia Harris who won her first open-age Australian title in the Women's 100m at the 2026 Australian Athletics Championships with a blazing time of 11.50 seconds. Georgia, who also claimed gold at the 2025 World University Games in Germany, is making waves on the national stage. Watch this space β she's one to watch for the 2028 Olympics!
