Planned Burns Happening This Week

Redland City Council will be conducting planned burns in Point Lookout between Tuesday, June 18th and Friday, June 21st (weather permitting). The burns will target specific areas within the East Coast Road Conservation Area (89-99 East Coast Road) and the Tramican Street Conservation Area (75-105 George Nothling Drive).

Crews will be working hard to minimize smoke and disruption, but you might see some smoke in the area. Drivers should use caution and watch for signs.

A Change of Plans for Bayfest

Looks like Bayfest won't be happening this year after all.

The Redland City Council website has the sad news that the food and wine festival has been cancelled, but we can all get excited for its return next year. In the meantime, keep an eye out for all the other awesome events happening around Redlands!

On Monday (June 24), Redland Museum's "Rainforest Find & Seek" will challenge kids to discover hidden animals, reptiles, and plants in their amazing textile rainforest display. It's like a real-life Where's Wally, but with a tropical twist and there's even a fun activity booklet to help you track your finds. It's a great way for kids to learn about the rainforest and unleash their inner explorer.

Free for children, $6 for concession, and $10 for adults.

This June-July holidays, let your kids experience Day Camp - a 5-day program for grades 1-6, packed with adventure, learning, and making new friends (all while sleeping in their own comfy bed at night!).
