Quick News
Festive Season Service Changes Across Redlands Redland City Council offices and customer service centres close from today, Wednesday, 24 December and reopen Monday, 5 January, 2026. Bins still roll as usual. Visitor Information shuts Christmas and Boxing Day. Libraries, RPAC, IndigiScapes and the Animal Shelter have mixed hours, so checking ahead saves surprises over the festive break.
A Kinder Christmas for Redlands Bins The Council has nudged Redlands households to think twice about festive waste after bins overflowed last summer. December and January saw a big spike in rubbish and costs. Simple moves like recycling right, cutting packaging, and using tools like Recycle Mate can keep more out of landfill this Christmas season ahead.

Festive Traffic Changes at Birkdale Recycling The Birkdale Recycling and Waste Centre has updated traffic rules for the festive season from 15 Dec to 11 Jan. Right turns are off-limits, speed limits are monitored, and pre-sorting your recycling can save a lot of waiting. Keep it safe and smooth this holiday season.
